Day Tripping - Ojai and Summerland

Ojai Valley, CA.

What a gem! What's not to love. A definite do-over visit. Sunny, green and alive with lots of unique eateries, cafes, ice cream shops and local artsy stops. Ojai Ave. parking without meters gotta love that.

Bart's Books of Ojai a bookstore like no other,
a must see while you are visiting bartsbooksojai.com

Orange orchard you can imagine the scent!

As you leave Ojai avoid the 101 fwy and take route 150 towards Santa Barbara. (about a half hours drive). You'll drive past orange groves, avocado orchards and Lake Casitas. Amazing valley views with striking blue skies that remind you how great it is to get out of town! On your way to Santa Barbara stop by Summerland.

Rue de Lillie Antiques
Summerland, CA - an intimate beachside town full of cafes, vintage antique shops and bungalows. A great escape for those looking for that special je ne sais quoi unique gift for someone or a little lunch. Rue de Lillie French Antiques c'est tres chic with amazing fabrics and garden decor.

Worth the trip to see all the turtle doves and finches in vintage birdhouses.
Tres magnifique!

Pooch in a frame - love it (and the sconces)!!

Ahhhh my other love - Toile.  Pillows strategically placed on a daybed.

Summerland Antique Collective on Ortega Hill Road -
so much to see both inside and out!
Lots of outdoor and indoor collectives.

A vintage urn!

last stop Santa Barbara to be continued...
